Swimit Squad Structure

The Swimit Squad Structure has been developed to provide members of Riverside Swimming Club with a stable and consistent squad training programme.

The program aims to meet the following objectives:

  • Provide a clear squad progression for swimmers and their families
  • Ensure all swimmers are receiving coaching specific to their needs
  • Introduce competitive and fitness based pathways
  • Retain senior swimmers and build strong club culture

The format is designed to:

  • Come in line with the Swimming WA Performance Pathway
  • Come in Line With Junior Excellence Programme (JX)
  • Establish a Junior Dolphins program

Bronze Mon-Thurs 5:30 to 7pm Wed 5:45 to 7am. Sat 7:30 to 9/9:30am
Silver Mon-Thurs 5 to 7pm Wed 5:45 to 7am. Sat 7:30 to 9:30am
Gold Mon-Thurs 5 to 7pm Wed 5:45 to 7am. Sat 7:30 to 9:30am
Power Hour/Pre Bronze Mon-Thurs 5:30 to 6:30pm Sat 7:30 to 8:30am

 

Saturday mornings

A structured training session is available for Green and Bronze squad members from 7:30 to 8:30am. The squads will then combine until 9/9:30am for either stroke/skill clinic, team games/fun activities or some pool lifesaving activities. All swimmers are encouraged to come along for the full 1.5 to 2 hours on a Saturday to finish the training week off with something different and some fun in the sun.
